Preserved Lawn
Preserved lawn
Imagine yourself walking barefoot on a lawn on your business premises or even at home… imagine the feeling whilst you tread on a well-kept, soft and lush, green turf. Well, we have now made that possible for you!
Preserved Lawn is a new entry in the realm of preserved decorative greenery. It can easily be placed wherever you need it and does not stain. Moreover, it does not require any watering or sunlight. Preserved Lawn is only suitable for indoor settings and you can even walk on top of it without spoiling it.
Technical characteristics
Formats: the Preserved Lawn is sold per m2 in strip formats measuring 120x140cms.
Layout: we recommend a horizontal layout and positioning of the turf. It is however possible to place it upright against the wall, but in this case please inform our technical team who will assist you providing you with the necessary details regarding the size, type of supports and other useful practical tips on how to hang it.
Weight: 7 -10 Kgs approx . per m2. This can vary according to the rate of humidity absorbed by the preserved greenery.
Thickness: 5/7cms approx. without any support system attached. Greenery can vary in size and is never really exactly the same.
Positioning: only indoors.
Harvesting: the Lawn has rigorously been extracted with the safeguarding of its natural habitat in mind. It only comes from specific places where continuity in the production cycles of meadows is fully guaranteed.
Packaging: recycled cardboard boxes.
Preservation products: 100% natural Glycerine.
Colours: available both in Acid Green (with the typical colour-shade effect of a lawn in May), as well as in Natural Bosque Green (with the typical colour- shade effect of woods).
Precautions: Do not expose to direct sunlight. Do not place it near any type of heating devices or floor- heating systems. Do not water, spray or clean with water. Maintain at a 70% max humidity level. With time, it is absolutely normal that the colours will be slightly altered. The typical natural scent of fresh plants you might smell after it has just been placed, is also normal. This is infact a typically natural characteristic of 100% authentic plants and greenery both when picked fresh, as we do before treating them for preservation, or when still growing wild in Nature.
Instructions for use: before and after layout
- Level out the ground surface on which you wish to place the Preserved Lawn by carefully removing any concrete residues or other bumps which might prevent it from being completely flat and smooth.
- Unroll the strips of Preserved Lawn. Use a cutter to cut them according to the size and shape of the surface area you wish to cover. It is advisable to spread the lawn out respecting the degree of inclination of the tufts of grass. This helps give a general sense of colour continuity of the lawn, thus avoiding to notice the junctions of the strips which might otherwise be highlighted, for instance, at dawn or dusk.
- Place the strips of grass as close to one another as possible so as to avoid noticing the separate strips. May we remind you that the above- stated junctions of a preserved lawn are just as visible as they are in fresh grass, natural lawns. Having been stored in packaging boxes, the grass blades have been bent and it is therefore normal that it will take the turf some time to adapt and adjust to its new environment after having been laid on your premises (especially in wintertime). We therefore recommend to carefully brush the grass in proximity of the junction splits with appropriate soft gardening combs or brushes. By doing so, you will enable the blades of grass to straighten out more easily. Repeat this procedure every other day.
Cleaning and maintenance procedures
NO MAINTENANCE AT ALL IS REQUIRED
What we do advise you to do occasionally is to dust it using a soft paintbrush or with the help of a low-intensity power vacuum cleaner.
