Iron plates of different shape, oxidized naturally in rag water baths, becoming the reactive basis: (iron, rust, nature) a melting of informality all contemporary: the results are efflorescence visions that define each plate as an original and amazing matrix. Just the shapes of the rusty spots, defined by the manufacturing technique but always submitted to the fortuity of the events, make the work of these extraordinary and original panels appealing. Appealing as it evokes an immediate interest, curiosity and emotion. The iron as an element of the earth, unarmed but at the same time alive, forged by the man that has made it a plate but that goes on with its transformation through the course of time. The iron as basis, as setting element, as background painting that with its own signs created by the rust erosion leaves a well visible footprint. The contrast between the static coldness of the plate and the subject of nature “Lichen and plate” proposed by LINFADECOR is clear at once. “Lichen and plate” melt each other and the rust too takes their worth. Choosing a metal support that bears clear signs of the time and using its surface to imprint its own sign in contrast with the nature creates a refined harmony that highlights the validity of the choice.
